The Freight House

Preserving Quakertown’s Past. Creating Its Future.
The Rail Yard Society is dedicated to restoring and reimagining historic downtown Quakertown properties that have been overlooked for far too long. Our work begins with the restoration of the historic Freight House—a cornerstone project that transforms a once-neglected building into a vibrant, usable community space.
But this is only the beginning. Once the Freight House restoration is complete, we will continue our mission by identifying and revitalizing other at-risk downtown properties. Each project protects Quakertown’s architectural heritage, strengthens the local economy, and ensures these spaces remain active, meaningful parts of our community.
Through thoughtful preservation and community investment, we are building a sustainable future where Quakertown’s history is not just remembered—but lived, shared, and celebrated.
